Cantabile

Hereford Cathedral School’s Cantabile Girls’ Choir continues to go from strength to strength, building on a string of successes.

In June 2016 The Cantabile Girls' Choir performed at Hereford Cathedral with Aled Jones, and the International Eisteddfod in Llangollen, and in the Canta Al Mar international choral competition in Barcelona.

The choir won the BBC Songs of Praise Senior School Choir of the Year Competition in 2015, beating some of the finest school choirs from across the UK. They were also named as Childrens’ Folk Song competition winners at the 2015 Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod. The girls’ choir later performed at the Royal Albert Hall as part of BBC Songs of Praise event, The Big Sing.

The 21 female singers from Hereford Cathedral School led by Musical Director Jo Williamson, also performed for HRH The Duke of Kent alongside Hereford Cathedral Junior School Chamber Choir.
