Hereford Cathedral School celebrated boating success last weekend (July 11) by producing the Boat Club’s most productive day of the year in the Llandaff Regatta.

Following in the wake of their success at other regattas and competitions across the country, the Cathedral School Boat Club won eight events, as well as producing a series of strong performances from all age groups, which couldn’t be matched by the competition.

Over 500m in tail wind, there were numerous highlights throughout the day from everyone involved with the Cathedral School squad.  Individual performances of note include a fantastic effort from Ruth Smith, - winning the WJ14 singles and the WJ14 Doubles with her partner Rhian Evans – Steph Street and Izzy Hancock, - storming to victory in the WJ17 Doubles – Simon George – taking the trophy in the MJ17 Singles – and Kate Jones – winning the IM3 Event.

Jane Delicata, Hereford Cathedral School’s Rowing Coach said:

“I am delighted that we (Hereford Cathedral School Boat Club) finished the year on such a high note.”

“The squad are now looking forward to joining Ric (Ric Colborne, Hereford Cathedral School Rowing Coach) this summer for his Training Camp, which will culminate in a large entry at Ross Regatta on both Sunday and Monday.”
