Sustainable-Success-imageHereford Cathedral School celebrated ‘green’ success recently by collecting two Herefordshire Council Sustainable School’s Awards at Hereford Town Hall.

During the two-hour Awards Ceremony with special guest BBC Hereford & Worcester presenter Howard Bentham, the Cathedral School received accolades for, firstly, successfully developing a school travel plan, which aims to increase the safety of children travelling to school, as well as later accepting its bronze status in the Eco-School Awards Scheme.  Awards were collected by current Cathedral Close student T J Henchoz on behalf of the school and its Eco Team.

Lynda Freeman, Hereford Cathedral School’s Transport Co-ordinator said:

“It has been hard work, but we are delighted to be acknowledged for our efforts.  Our thanks to Herefordshire Council for all their help and support.”
