Hereford Cathedral School’s Cantabile Choir have again been asked by classical boy band ‘Blake’ to support them in concert.

Internationally renowned band, Blake, were ‘so impressed’ in their words, by the quality and professionalism of the 16 Cathedral School girls during their support performance in Hereford’s Courtyard Theatre last month (October 30), that they approached the school to join them again in Gloucester Cathedral on Saturday 27th November 2010.

This time however, at Blake’s request, the award winning Cathedral School Cantabile will not only be providing backing vocals, they will also be taking centre stage and performing two tracks as an individual act.  No other school choir that has joined Blake has been given this opportunity.

Jo Williamson, Hereford Cathedral School’s Cantabile Choir Director and Voice Coach said:

“We are all extremely excited about performing again with Blake in front of such a large audience.”

“I couldn’t be more proud of the girls: as soon as they opened their mouths at the Courtyard, jaws dropped, and we look forward to the same reaction at Gloucester Cathedral.  I think everyone, including Blake, were surprised and impressed”.
