It used to be, you would have to go to London, Paris or Rome to see the next stars of the fashion world, but Hereford Cathedral School students have gone a ‘catwalk’ further. They brought the glitz and glamour of top high-street fashion and original student couture to Hereford and the Cathedral Close.
Within imaginatively staged and themed settings, the Cathedral School students, ranging from 3 to 18 years old, brilliantly planned, organised, modelled and showcased a Fashion Show that would rival many professional occasions.
Over 400 people attended, with the two hour show exceeding all fundraising expectations and raising over £3,500. The fantastic amount is to be shared between local charities The Little Princess Trust and The Martha Trust.
James Petrie, Hereford Cathedral School’s Head of English and Chair of the 2010 Fashion Show Committee said:
“I could see the students, parents and audience clearly enjoyed themselves and loved the show. It really exceeded all our expectations, both in terms of support and the magnificent amount we managed to raise for charity.”
“My thanks go to everyone involved, especially our 18 generous local sponsors and 20 shops that helped to make the show possible. We couldn’t have done it without you.”
Tracey Prosser, Peter Prosser Hairdressing said:
“Everyone had a great time! The salon was buzzing with students and it was great for us and our team to be part of such a fantastic charity event.”
