Former Hereford Cathedral School student, Stuart Adams (left the Cathedral School in 2007), celebrated recently as he was presented a top Royal Marines senior recruit award – the Kings Badge.
The senior recruit squad in Royal Marines training is known as the King’s Squad, with the best all round recruit in the squad awarded the King’s Badge, provided they were worthy of the honour. The Kings Badge is not awarded to every squad, but Stuart Adams measured up to these exacting standards and was deemed worthy of the award – a great honour and achievement.
Paul Smith, Hereford Cathedral School’s Headmaster said:
“This is a fantastic achievement for Stuart, my congratulations to him and his family.”
“Our dedicated Combined Cadet Force looks forward to helping others excel and follow in Stuart’s footsteps.”
