  History Department

It is the intention of the History Department that:

“So far as possible, every pupil shall be stimulated and enthused for the study of the past; that they shall have a working knowledge of their own country’s history, an appreciation of other cultures and, in a part of the world full of historical interest, shall have a burgeoning enthusiasm for local history.”

As a department we strive to attain more than mere academic achievements. We are proud to get our pupils through their examinations with the highest grades according to their ability, but we are not exam driven. We strive to develop an interest in and enthusiasm for history at all ages by making our lessons interesting and exciting as well as, hopefully, memorable.
