Cancelled - Girls' Cricket Festival - April 25

Girls Cricket

We regret to announce that the Girls' Cricket Festival on April 25 has been cancelled following government advice to avoid non-essential public gatherings to slow the spread of the Coronavirus. We apologise for the disappointment.

Hereford Cathedral School, in partnership with Herefordshire Cricket, is inviting girls in Years 5-9 countywide to a cricket festival on Saturday 25 April. The event’s aim is to celebrate girls’ cricket.

This is an opportunity to receive specialist coaching in a fun and friendly environment. The day will be led by girls’ cricket coach Anna Robertson from Herefordshire Cricket who will be supported by Hereford Cathedral School’s Head of Cricket, Christiaan Ferreira. All staff are fully DBS checked and trained in first aid.

The day will start with some small modified games, focusing on batting, bowling and fielding. The girls will then be split up into teams of equal abilities to play in a world cup tournament. Each team will represent a different country and players will receive a t-shirt to play in and take home.

The festival is FREE to enter and parents do not need to stay. Players of all levels welcome - no experience necessary.
