Another top year for HCS A-Level results

Hereford Cathedral School students are celebrating today after 90% gained A* to C in their A-Levels.

With 70% of all grades achieved being awarded A*-B grades, this marks another year of excellent academic and personal achievements for students at the school.

More than half of all A-Level students at the school achieved nothing less than a B grade. Over a quarter achieved all A*/As, including three remarkable students who secured all A*s.

Seven subjects were awarded 100% grades A*-B with particularly strong results in the Arts and traditionally difficult subjects, including Economics, English Literature, Maths and Physics.

The very first A-level results for the school's new Mandarin and Psychology courses performed extremely well with 80% of Mandarin students achieving an A grade and 83% of grades A*-B in Psychology.

Headmaster, Paul Smith explained how proud he was of all students. “I am absolutely delighted that the hard work of both students and staff has paid off with the vast majority of students, across the ability range, able to secure a place at the university of their choice.”
