HCS mathematicians triumph in cryptography challenge

Cryptography Challenge

A huge well done to Hereford Cathedral School pupils Will P, Lara M, Dan P and Beren G, who competed against 50 other teams to win the Live Cryptography Challenge at Manchester University last week.

Whilst there, they collected their prizes for coming 2nd and 3rd nationally in the Alan Turing Competition, from a pool of over 1,000 teams.

Head of Maths Mr Mike Taylor commented: "To do so well in a national competition is a superb achievement. The competition between our top teams was intense, no quarter given!"
