HCS welcomes Weobley Primary for Classics workshop

It was wonderful to welcome our friends from Weobley Primary School for a classics workshop last week, as part of Hereford Cathedral School's outreach programme.
The children enjoyed a session of improvisation, and then learned the story of The Odyssey. HCS Classics teacher Mrs De Souza took them through the stories of the Cyclops, the Sirens, Scylla and Charybdis, the Lotus Eaters, Circe, Calypso and others, while they learned about Greek theatre, Greek democracy and Greek heroes along the way.
Many thanks to our Sixth Form pupils Huw T and Lewis G who helped bring the story to life for our visitors, and Natalya S for technical support.
