Following a fantastic day of recording at KJM Studios in Hereford, the HCS Jazz Band is proud to release a collection of its most-loved tracks.
Formed just over two years ago by Director of Music Duncan Barlow, the Jazz Band has quickly become one of the school’s flagship ensembles. The group has performed regularly at Jazz Night and Open Mic events and has gone from strength to strength since its inception.
This release marks a special milestone, celebrating the contribution of four founding members – Cassie A, Seth M, Joe B, Jack S and Toby D – who have now completed their time at HCS. The school wishes them every success as they move on to the next chapter in their musical journeys.
Featuring vocalists Cassie A, Fifi P and Iona A, the selection of tracks ranges from the close-harmony swing of the Andrews Sisters’ post-war classic Beat Me Daddy to the expressive instrumental solos in Somewhere Over the Rainbow.
