Administration Assistant
 

Location: Hereford   
Description: Full time, all year round
Salary: 6-8 (£15,595 - £16,640) FTE (Flexibility possible for the right candidate)

We are seeking to appoint an Administration Assistant to work in our busy, friendly departments. 

Reporting to the School Accountant and working closely with department managers and supervisors, the Administration Assistant will play a key role in providing a professional and high quality administration service to departments.

Responsibilities for this role include: 
•    Provide administrative assistance and support to ensure the smooth running of the office
•    Provide general support to the Accounts, HR, and other departments as required
•    Updating and maintaining spreadsheets detailing charges, registrations, trips, budgets etc 
•    Inputting information on to the School Accounts system
•    Generating manual cheques, and distributing and collecting invoices and other paperwork from around the School.
•    Cash counting and daily banking 
•    General office support e.g. filing, mailings and photocopying
•    Supporting other tasks assigned by Managers and Supervisors

The ideal candidate will work accurately and efficiently and have the ability to prioritise work and work to deadlines. We are looking for someone who has a natural ‘can do’ attitude and who is willing to support and help out.

Teacher of Mathematics

September 2019

Location: Hereford   Description: Part time (approximately 0.5 timetable)

Hereford Cathedral School seeks to appoint an outstanding Teacher of Mathematics for September 2019. 

This is an exciting opportunity to join a happy, successful department and teach Maths right across the age and ability range. The post will suit a high-calibre Mathematics graduate, either an NQT or more experienced teacher, with the enthusiasm, energy and commitment to really support, stretch and encourage their pupils.

Results at GCSE and A-Level are consistently excellent. The post will include opportunities to teach mathematics from Year 7 to Year 13 Further Maths for a suitable candidate. 
The School was inspected by ISI in 2014 and graded “excellent” in each of the eight categories. 

Hereford Cathedral School has a well-established and thriving extra-curricular programme, and the successful applicant will be expected to play an active part in this.

School Minibus Driver 

Description:  10 hours per week over 5 days. 6.30am-8.30 am 
                   or 20 hours and 6.30am-8.30 am 3.30pm -5.30pm

Term-time only (36 weeks)

Salary: 10 hours per week - £14,549 per annum pro rata. This equates to £3,188.
Salary: 20 hours per week - £14,549 per annum pro rata. This equates to £6,376.

We are looking to appoint a skilled School Minibus Driver to join our transport department. 

All drivers of the school minibuses must:
•    Be over 21 years of age (for insurance purposes)
•    Have held a category B licence for at least 2 years.
•    Have a D1 entitlement on their licence.  
•    Undergo a Worcester County Council minibus driving assessment and must successfully pass this test to be employed.
•    Ensure the emotional and physical welfare of the pupils in their care in line with Hereford Cathedral School Child Protection Guidelines

Duties shall include the following:
•    To safely transport pupils and staff from one location to another ensuring that all Road Traffic Act Legislation is adhered to.
•    To maintain good customer relations with parents and schools and contribute to a positive atmosphere on the minibus. 
•    Carry out daily and weekly vehicle checks on minibus i.e. oil level, fuel, water etc.
