Head of Mathematics

Location: Hereford  

Description: Full time and permanent

Hereford Cathedral School seeks to appoint a full-time Head of Mathematics from September2021. We are looking for an inspirational teacher and excellent communicator to lead this vibrant and successful department.

Results at GCSE and A-Level are consistently excellent. The post will include opportunities to teach mathematics from Year 7 to Year 13 Further Maths.

In addition to academic teaching, the successful candidate will also be asked to contribute fully to the pastoral and extra-curricular life of the school. They will need to have first rate interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well and communicate effectively with pupils, colleagues and parents.  In addition, energy, vision and high expectations are essential qualities for this position.

Reception Teacher

Location: Hereford Cathedral Junior School, 28 Castle Street, Hereford.

Work pattern: full-time or part-time

Salary: Competitive

Due to expansion, Hereford Cathedral Junior School seeks a well-qualified and enthusiastic Reception teacher from September 2021. This would be a full-time position, though we may be able to accommodate a part-time working pattern. Applications are welcomed from suitably qualified teachers, including newly or recently qualified teachers.

Our Reception is based in our purpose-built Pre-Prep in the centre of Hereford. Our children are bubbly and enthusiastic and relish our broad and varied curriculum and our excellent staff, pupil and parent relationships.

The school has high standards across the board and an enviable reputation for Sport, Music and Drama. It was found to be “excellent” in each of the eight categories by ISI in its last inspection.

After School Care Supervisor

Location: Hereford Cathedral Junior School, 28 Castle Street

Starting date:  2nd September 2021 or more immediately by arrangement. 

Work pattern: 1530-1730 Monday to Friday, term time only. 

Salary: This post is paid from point 9-11 on the Support Staff Scale. Point 9 is a salary of £17,988 FTE (£9.88 per hour). For 10 hours per week term time (36 weeks per year), this equates to £3,941.

As a member of our small after school care team, you will play an important role in our school, impacting on the education and happiness of our children and being part of the high quality education and care for which our school is well known.

The Application Process

Minibus Driver 

Location: Hereford

Description: 10 hours per week over 5 days. 6.30am-8.30am

or 20 hours and 6.30am-8.30 am 3.30pm -5.30pm

Term-time only (36 weeks)

Salary: 10 hours per week - £16,023 per annum pro rata. This equates to £3,511.

Salary: 20 hours per week - £16,023 per annum pro rata. This equates to £7,022.

We are looking to appoint a skilled School Minibus Driver to join our transport department.

All drivers of the school minibuses must:

Be over 21 years of age (for insurance purposes)
Have held a category B licence for at least 2 years.
Have a D1 entitlement on their licence.
Undergo a minibus driving assessment and must successfully pass this test to be employed.
Ensure the emotional and physical welfare of the pupils in their care in line with Hereford Cathedral School Child Protection Guidelines
Duties shall include the following:

To safely transport pupils and staff from one location to another ensuring that all Road Traffic Act Legislation is adhered to.
To maintain good customer relations with parents and schools and contribute to a positive atmosphere on the minibus.
Carry out daily and weekly vehicle checks on minibus i.e. oil level, fuel, water etc.
