Teaching Assistant

Location: Hereford Cathedral Junior School, 28 Castle Street, Hereford.
 
Starting date: 31st August 2021
 
Work pattern: full time, term time only
 
Salary:  £17,998-£19,084 (£17,998 equates to a salary of £13,794 per year, for the work pattern detailed above).  
 
Hereford Cathedral Junior School seeks an enthusiastic teaching assistant, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team whilst making a positive contribution to school life. Our current team of assistants also staff our out of school care, both before and after school, and we would hope that the successful candidate would be able to contribute to this in some capacity.
 
The school has high standards across the board and an enviable reputation for Sport, Music and Drama. It was found to be “excellent” in each of the eight categories by ISI in its last inspection.

Rowing Coach 

September 2021
Location: Hereford 
Description:  22 hours per week. Term-time plus 1 week (37 weeks per year) Worked flexibly depending on the needs of the School.(1 year fixed term contract – possible extension or permanent role following review)  
Salary: £26,208 per annum pro rata. This equates to £12,984.

Hereford Cathedral School are looking to appoint a rowing coach to join us for the next academic year and possibly beyond. 
We are looking for an outstanding coach who:
•    Has the ability to coach rowing to a high level. 
•    Inspires, motivates and encourages young people through sport.
•    Has the ability to develop and implement high quality, varied and creative coaching sessions focusing on a young person-centred approach.
•    Shows excellent communication and interpersonal skills and can communicate with people at all levels.
•    Is able to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young people.
•    A licence to drive minibuses would be beneficial but is not essential. 
•    Flexible in your approach to work, with the ability to work outside normal working hours, as some weekend and evening work will be required

Minibus Driver 

Location: Hereford

Description: 10 hours per week over 5 days. 6.30am-8.30am

or 20 hours and 6.30am-8.30 am 3.30pm -5.30pm

Term-time only (36 weeks)

Salary: 10 hours per week - £16,023 per annum pro rata. This equates to £3,511.

Salary: 20 hours per week - £16,023 per annum pro rata. This equates to £7,022.

We are looking to appoint a skilled School Minibus Driver to join our transport department.

All drivers of the school minibuses must:

Be over 21 years of age (for insurance purposes)
Have held a category B licence for at least 2 years.
Have a D1 entitlement on their licence.
Undergo a minibus driving assessment and must successfully pass this test to be employed.
Ensure the emotional and physical welfare of the pupils in their care in line with Hereford Cathedral School Child Protection Guidelines
Duties shall include the following:

To safely transport pupils and staff from one location to another ensuring that all Road Traffic Act Legislation is adhered to.
To maintain good customer relations with parents and schools and contribute to a positive atmosphere on the minibus.
Carry out daily and weekly vehicle checks on minibus i.e. oil level, fuel, water etc.
