Connecting with parents

The Junior and Senior Schools have extremely active PTAs, set up to help organise social and fundraising events.

At Hereford Cathedral School, we encourage parents to play an active role in the school community through our Junior and Senior School PTA groups.

Through their dedicated fundraising efforts, our PTAs finance projects that significantly enhance our students’ experiences. From acquiring spikeball sets and laser cutters to providing resources for clubs and costumes for our theatre productions, there’s always something on the horizon to enrich our students’ educational journey.

We make sure that all PTA members are made to feel welcome, and all contributions are valued, so we encourage new parents to come and learn new skills and start to build long-lasting relationships.

As Chair, I feel compelled to help wherever I can and with an excellent committee behind me, we have a responsibility to provide the icing on the cake for our children.

Mrs Shelley Connop, Chair of Senior PTA

Parents and friends of the School can help raise free PTA funds through easyfundraising every time they shop online. Just search for Hereford Cathedral School when you sign up.

Beyond fundraising for school projects, our PTAs offer a range of opportunities for parents to connect with one another, with highlights including the ever-popular PTA ball.

We invite parents to take an active role by joining the PTA as Committee Members and year group representatives, ensuring their voices are heard and ideas considered. Through our regular PTA meetings, parents can freely share their insights, suggest ideas, and collaboratively shape future projects that further enrich our pupils’ school experience.
