This week, Hereford Cathedral School pupils in Year 10 gained a fantastic insight into their possible career options in a special event.

In a round-robin activity held in the Sixth Form Cafe, pupils had the chance to talk to professionals with a wide range of impressive credentials, to get an idea of their career paths and what they studied in order to get where they are today.

The professionals included:

🟡 Law - Katy Skerrett, Coroner

🟡 Retail - Bruce Jones, Managing Partner at Philip Morris

🟡 Medicine & Psychiatry - Dr Angharad Gray, Psychiatrist

🟡 Languages - Emma Maxted, UK Diplomatic Service/FCDO

🟡 Marketing - Laura Yates, Director of Marketing and Communications, Hereford Cathedral School

🟡 Property - Richard Binnersley, Joint Managing Director, Brightwells

🟡 Apprenticeships - Representatives from Riverside Training, who were on hand to talk to pupils about apprenticeship opportunities in various industries

🟡 Army careers advisors

Later, the students completed selected sessions on revision strategies, and then took part in a session on preparing for Sixth Form and beyond.
